Talon and Raven have lived in Wapos Bay all their lives, so when their dad takes a job in the big city, the two are shocked at the prospect of leaving the place they have always called home. Each reacts differently: Talon sets off to complete his bucket list with his friends, while Raven takes matters into her own hands and begins planning a campaign for her father to run as chief of Wapos Bay. But when things get out of control, Raven and Talon must band together before it's too late.

INCLUDES BAGELS AND BANNOCK ANIMATION BRUNCH 11:30-1:00

Two children play in a colourful and ever-changing world. Without dialogue.

Borrowing playfully from the western, the nature documentary and eyewitness reportage, this animated film offers a fresh, wry take on the Canadian frontier experience.  Wild Life is about the beauty of the untamed prairie, the pang of being homesick and the folly of living dangerously out of context.
** Oscar Nominee for Best Animated Short **

This inspiring and energizing program of shorts made by youth across British Columbia is followed by an awards ceremony and notes from a Jury of some of Vancouver’s top film professionals. An audience award will also be determined by secret ballot, so be sure to come and cast your own vote.
